Second Transportable Antarctic Research Platform (TARP-02) becomes operational
Our Transportable Antarctic Research Platform (TARP-02) became operational early 2016 on King George Island (62° 12’ S; 58° 57’ W, Antarctic Peninsula). It will support state-of-the art spectral measurements aimed at the retrieval of the total ozone column (TOC), the aerosol optical depth (AOD), the precipitable water (PW), and the cloud modification factor (CMF). These parameters are expected to change in the upcoming decades as consequence of both the ozone layer recovery and climate change.
